Wedding Information Please I cant stress it enough. Please place the DJ near the dancefloor. When booking Caterer's, Photographers, DJ's etc... make sure your just not calling for prices. Talk to people get to know what services they provide. You may find the cheaper ones don't always work out in the end. Stay away from the entertainers advertising we will beat any price. Sometimes its too good to be true. They may beat any price but also not be able to provide the service that you are looking for. Search our song list You can even make your own play list. This is a general data base.
Make a schedule of your event. Sit down as a couple and decide for example: What time are your guests arriving? What time are you arriving? Do you want to be introduced? etc.... About what time are you eating? Any special dances? DJ Bert will go through any details and plan your reception with you if you need some guidance or ideas. Check to see if another party is going to be going on in the room beside you or in the same building. Some catering halls are really nice and have a pleasant atmosphere until your there on your special day with a party going on next door or upstairs and your eating dinner and the other party is in there dance mode. Most halls have partition walls for enlarging or making rooms smaller for different size party's. 98% of the walls are NOT SOUND PROOF. When making song requests keep in mind of your guests and what type of music they might like to DANCE to. Also when making song requests keep in mind if your song requests are danceable, or just for listening to, or of adult nature that is probably inappropriate to play at a wedding reception. Map out an idea ahead of time of the room and tables. Make sure you place the DJ near the dance floor and allow space for speaker stands and or lighting stands if needed. MAKE SURE THE ROOM YOU BOOK HAS GOOD SOUND. Check out the room before you book it. Stand in the middle of the room and talk loud. If it echo's that may not be the room for you. Carpeting in the room help absorb the sound so that the sound isn't bouncing all over the place. We will never put any speakers at ears height of your guest sitting at their tables. We want your guests to be able to hear each other speak.
